Embroidery FAQ’s



1. Do you only work with large companies and organizations?

No.  We enjoy helping customers with any size order for any purpose.

2. What is the minimum order quantity for embroidery?

We have a six-head embroidery machine. To keep your embroidery costs low, we have a minimum of six garments for an embroidery order.

3. What is digitizing, and why do I need it?

Digitizing is converting an image into an electronic format for embroidery. Our machines use the format .DST. Your logo/design must be digitized so the computer can communicate the stitch positions and thread colors to embroider your logo/design with our embroidery machine.

4. What is the turn around time for embroidery?

Our standard turnaround time for embroidery with logos/designs that need to be digitized is 7-10 business days from the time we receive your approval of the artwork. If your logo/design is already digitized into .dst format, it may speed up the scheduling of your embroidery into production.

5. Do you offer custom color matching and/or PMS color matching?

We have an extensive inventory of thread colors available for embroidery. In most cases our stock thread colors are a close enough shade to a customer's specific PMS color that customers elect to use our stock colors. In the event a specific PMS color code is required by the customer, additional charges for purchase of the PMS color of thread will be required.

6. Can I provide my own merchandise/shirts to be embroidered?

Yes but we don’t recommend it. If we provide the apparel and by the off chance it gets damaged during embroidery, we will replace it at no charge to you. However, if the merchandise/shirts you provide to us are damaged during the embroidery process, we can’t replace it, but we do not charge for the embroidery on the damaged product.

7. Do you offer contract embroidery?

Yes. Embroidering customer supplied inventory has the same minimums and we thoroughly evaluate each project with all of our clients prior to quoting any contract embroidery project.

8. What are the payment options and terms?

We accept credit cards, cash, or checks. Top It Off Imprints and Embroidery terms are a 50% deposit upon placement of the order, with the balance due upon completion of the order.
